Construction Administrative Assistant

Construction Administrative Assistant – Central Florida

Administrative professional with excellent organization, time management, and interpersonal skills. Experience in Federal administrative management, writing, editing and formatting, especially in the construction and environmental industries. Experience and working knowledge with Davis Bacon Wage rates, construction liens/Notice to Owner, federal subcontract management required, and experience with USACE QCS/RMS as plus. Familiarity with requirements of federal solicitations, Federal Business Opportunities website, and overall Federal marketing arena. The qualified candidate must communicate proactively and effectively with staff, subcontractors and federal clients. A Bachelors degree is preferred, along with expertise in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint). The individual will assist in maintaining all company vendor and supplier registrations current.

 

Construction Project Manager

Construction Project Manager – Central Florida

Qualified supervisor capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in the English language on the job site and having the following minimum qualifications:

  • 10 Hour & 30 Hour OSHA Construction Safety Certification and shall maintain a current certificate
  • Completed the course entitled "Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors." and shall maintain a current certificate.
  • Ten (10) years of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on similar size and type construction contracts ($1M to $7M),
  • At least two years experience as a QC Manager,
  • Preference for candidates with Department of Defense/Federal Project Experience
  • Familiar with requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1 (US Army Corp of Engineers Health and Safety), and experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
  • Competent with computers (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Outlook)
  • Competent with design drawings and specifications
  • Cost Estimating capabilities a plus
  • Overall construction/environmental process knowledge.
  • Familiarity with the USACE Quality Control System (QCS) a plus
Duties will include: Oversee daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials and progress of the project. Candidate will supervise all personnel working on construction projects including superintendents, field staff and administrative staff. Work with contractors to complete project with the given budget and timeframe.

Construction Site Superintendent

Construction Site Superintendent – Central Florida

Work with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

Construction Cost Estimator

Construction Cost Estimator – Central Florida

Support preparation of proposal estimates for one or more disciplines. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work. Contacts subcontractors and suppliers for pricing and scope of work within their assigned discipline. Supports and maintains estimating historical data files and estimating software. Maintain files of working documents as back up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, prices lists, etc. Support other departments personnel as required may include preparing take off and sub/supplier contacts in other disciplines. Educational and experience requirements include a 4 year BS or MS engineering degree or equivalent combinations technical training and/or 5+ years experience.

Duties will include: Inspects and oversees construction of buildings, roadways, utilities, industrial facilities and other types of construction to assure that procedures, materials and workmanship comply with plans and specifications. Maintain records concerning materials received/used, construction progress, inspections activities, blueprint changes and other related information. Must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
