CORE’s licensed hazardous material surveyors provide inspections of facilities that are typically being planned for demolition or renovation to ensure that hazardous materials are located, identified and marked so that no exposure to these materials will occur during demolition, renovation, or construction activities. We also provide support to the architect/engineering firm regarding proper documentation, handling and disposal of these materials. We tailor our surveys the to the specific building type, construction date(s) and ultimate re-use, but some of the more common elements included in the surveys include lead-based paint, mercury (lighting systems), asbestos-containing materials (pipes, insulation, roofing, mastic), lead-acid batteries, petroleum storage tanks, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
